FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is your office virtual?
Yes. Gramling Law Group operates a virtual office to maximize efficiency and reduce client costs. Most meetings are conducted via Zoom or phone, unless an in-person appointment is specifically requested. Over 95% of cases are resolved without the need for a physical meeting. This streamlined model allows us to serve clients across California while offering lower rates than traditional firms.

Are Your Services Free?

No. Legal representation through Gramling Law Group is not free. We proudly offer a-la-carte legal services and limited scope representation tailored to your specific needs and budget. To explore our flat-fee options, click the link to get started.

What’s the best way to get in touch with you?
The best way to contact me is by email at daniel@gramlinglawgroup.com. I am frequently in court and unable to answer phone calls during the day. Email allows me to respond more efficiently—usually within a few hours, including providing case quotes or answering initial questions.

What can I expect during my initial consultation?
During the 10 min consultation, we will review your legal issue, discuss the current status of your case, and identify your goals. You’ll receive an outline of potential legal strategies and a clear explanation of the fee structure. If you choose to retain the firm, we’ll move quickly to begin work on your matter.

How will we communicate throughout the case?
You will receive email updates whenever there is a development in your case. If there is no update, you will not receive communication during that time. This approach is intentional—it respects your time and ensures you are not billed for unnecessary contact. Of course, you are always welcome to reach out with questions at any time.

What is your fee structure, and can I afford it?
Yes. Gramling Law Group offers some of the most affordable rates in California. We intentionally undercut competitors while maintaining high standards. This is possible because we operate lean—no staff, no rent at a prime location, and no unnecessary overhead. Clients only pay for legal expertise, not a costly office.

How do you accept payment?
We accept all major electronic transfer methods, including Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, credit/debit cards, and direct bank transfers. If you prefer to pay in cash, we can accommodate that as well by coordinating a secure in-person arrangement.

Do you offer payment plans?Yes. For certain matters, we offer structured payment plans, which require 50% of the total fee upfront. The remaining balance can be paid in installments, depending on the urgency and nature of your case. These options are discussed during your consultation on a case-by-case basis.

Can you guarantee a successful outcome in my case?
No attorney can ethically guarantee results. Legal outcomes depend on numerous variables including the facts of the case, the actions of the opposing party, and judicial discretion. However, we guarantee that your case will receive competent, diligent, and strategic representation.

What kind of cases does Gramling Law Group handle?
We handle all family law matters, including divorce, legal separation, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, domestic violence restraining orders, property division, and post-judgment modifications. We also offer legal document preparation services for clients who wish to represent themselves.

Who will I be working with?
You will work directly with attorney Daniel Gramling throughout your case. Your matter will not be handed off to a paralegal or junior associate. Every filing, appearance, and communication is handled by your attorney personally.

Do you offer flat-fee services?
Yes, for certain types of matters such as uncontested divorce filings, stipulated judgments, or motion drafting. Flat fees are discussed during the consultation and are available where appropriate.

Do I need to appear in court?
It depends on the nature of your case. Many matters can be resolved without a court appearance, and others may allow remote attendance via Zoom. If a court appearance is required, you will be prepared in advance and supported throughout.

Do you handle both settlements and litigation?
Yes. We represent clients in both negotiated settlements and contested court proceedings. Whether your matter requires collaboration or litigation, we are prepared to protect your interests and guide you through every phase.

Will I be involved in decision-making?
Yes. You remain in control of your case. We provide the legal analysis, strategic advice, and risk assessments you need to make informed decisions. Our goal is to empower clients while advocating effectively on their behalf.

How long will my case take?
Case timelines vary depending on complexity, the court’s calendar, and cooperation from the other side. We provide general estimates early on and communicate clearly about delays or scheduling issues that arise.

Do you take emergency or last-minute cases?
Yes. We are equipped to take on emergency filings, ex parte requests, and last-minute hearings. Urgent matters are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and expedited services may carry additional costs.

Can I represent myself and just get help with paperwork?
Yes. For document preparation services for self-represented clients please Visit Sanctum Legal for Flat-Rate Family Law Document Services. This is a cost-effective option that ensures your forms are accurate, complete, and properly filed.

We offer high-quality, attorney-level legal work at the lowest prices in the market. Our low-overhead model eliminates unnecessary expenses, allowing us to focus entirely on client service.
